One of the most exciting parts of Campus 2.0 is that Aarhus BSS (our business and social sciences
faculty) will finally be united on a single, central campus. Currently, many BSS students have classes at
the Fuglesangs Allé campus across town – but that’s changing fast. By early 2026, AU will vacate the
Fuglesangs Allé site. From the February 2026 semester start, if you’re in a BSS programme that
used to be at Fuglesangs Allé, you’ll instead be studying in Universitetsbyen (University City) and
University Park. In other words, our faculty’s educational and research activities are being gathered
in the heart of Aarhus to create one unified BSS campus.
Why move everyone?
It’s about creating a more coherent, dynamic student environment with modern
facilities, closer proximity to the rest of the university, and better opportunities to collaborate
across fields. No more feeling “cut off” from main campus – soon, all BSS students and staff in
Aarhus will share a common campus, making it easier to bump into friends from other fakualties,
use central resources like the main library, and feel part of the larger AU community. This
consolidation is expected to strengthen both your student experience and collaboration between
researchers, and even external partners, by having everyone in one place.
For current students, it means saying goodbye to the old campus (we’ll miss parts of it, no doubt) but gaining a richer day-to-day campus life. And for new students, you’ll join BSS at an exciting time – as pioneers on a campus that brings business and social sciences into the bustling core of AU. Get ready to enjoy the convenience and camaraderie of a single, integrated home base for BSS.
