Having nearly 30 student unions and associations operating at the ASB, it is not an exaggeration to say that ASB student union life is thriving.

As mentioned, student union life at the ASB is in a class of its own. The interests and activities of the unions cover a wide field. Moreover, they all make good opportunities for you, as a student, to meet new people, to get a break from the studies and learn about student union work. Working in unions is usually voluntary, however, it will definitly give you many fun and exciting experiences.

By far the most of the student unions are situated at "Foreningsgangen" (The Student Union Hallway). This creates a central meeting place for the students running the unions as well as for the union members. Moreover, all student unions are members of The Joint Student Union), the purpose of which is to establish a common forum where the unions can come together to share experience, set up cross union events and, of course, strengthen the social and academic network.
