The Master Introduction Days will take place in week 35, from the 30 of August to 2 of September. Tuesday (International Students) The day will consist of various information lectures as well as some social activities. The focus is on introducing you to Denmark and Danish culture as well as how it is to study in Denmark.
It will also be possible to get some questions answered and to meet the rest of the international students participating in the Introduction Days 2011.
Programme: 8.30-18.00 (from 15.00 you can by a cup of coffee or a beer and enjoy the company of your fellow students) Wednesday (New to ASB – Including International Students) You will be introduced to the individual systems of ASB, and you will learn how to get around on your first days at a new campus. In addition, there will be a guided tour around Campus and the City of Aarhus.
Programme: 9.00-14.00 (at 14.00 a guided tour of Aarhus begins, it ends after two hours of sightseeing) Thursday (All new Master Students) You will be separated into your individual programmes, and introduced to your specific line of study. The Programme Coordinators will introduce you to the specific characteristics of your programme, and the Student Unions will introduce themselves. There will also be plenty of opportunity to get to know your fellow students through some social activities.
Throughout the day, there will be a lecture by a Danish top leader about their own career and what the leading companies in Denmark are looking for in new graduates and a talk about grades versus practical experience. Programme:
8.30-23.00 (It’s possible to buy dinner between 17.00 and 18.30) Friday (All new Master Students) The day opens with “Guide to your Master Programme”. This includes two 2nd-year master students of your line of study who will explain about study groups, work pressure and other relevant matters. This will also include a Q&A session where you can get questions answered you may have. After this the day is devoted to teambuiling with your new fellow students. This includes a lot of funny and social activities and competitions. This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow students on a different level and have some fun. The day ends with a dinner and a BIG party. This is the grand finale of the Master Introduction Days 2011 and the party will include live shows from famous Danish musicians and DJ’s.
Programme: 10.15-15.00 and 18.00-02.00 As the program offers a wide range of activities we encourage everyone to reserve the whole day in the days you are expected to participate.
